Carola Stepper was born in the United States but raised in Germany. She returned to the U.S. in her mid twenties, and has lived in Hawaii and Oregon.
She became a nurse in 1989, and in that capacity has worked in hospitals both in the U.S. and abroad, as well as hospices and as a home health worker. In 2001 she acquired her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and has worked in the holistic healing field ever since.
Carola continued her studies with Dr. Richard Tan, the inventor of “The Balance Method for Instant Results,” a style of acupuncture which works quickly and effectively for the treatment of pain. She has also worked closely with Robert Doane, EAMP, where she learned distal needling technique.
She founded the Cascade Acupuncture center in 2005, and sees both new and established clients in Hood River and The Dalles, in the rural Columbia River Gorge region of Oregon. Over the years Cascade Acupuncture has had as many as three locations and fourteen employees, but is now composed of two clinics and a team of nine, three of whom are licensed acupuncturists.
Carola loves seeing her clients health improving as much as she loves being a part of their lives changing. Client education, lecturing, managing her company, and holding onto her vision to help as many as possible to get well naturally all effectively take up her time.
